Philadelphia Original Works is dedicated to developing young, inner city Philadelphia artists by assisting them in creating and publishing original comic books. The goal is to channel their creative energy into a practical and organized company, to teach them responsibility while encouraging artistic excellence, and give them experience working in the publishing industry.

Creatively, POW seeks to revive variety comic books and create on-the-edge graphic novels. Combining each artist's style with current technology such as PhotoShop and Illustrator gives POW a look and feel as unique as its home town.
